Often no symptoms, but may include:
• Stinging or tingling in the affected area
• Painful blisters or ulcers. Type 1 HSV usually causes cold sores around the mouth Type 2 HSV usually causes genital sores.
• Itching with redness of the skin
• Pain when peeing
• Flu-like symptoms (tiredness, muscle aches)
