The right to equality, and to be free from all forms of discrimination

All persons are born free and equal. No one should be discriminated against for any reason, including based on race, ethnicity, skin colour, economic status, sex, gender, or sexual orientation,  marital status, family position, disability, age, language, religious or political opinion. To achieve equality and end discrimination, everyone must have the right to access sexual and reproductive health information and services, including family planning. Women and girls must be able to live free from gender-based violence and pregnant women must have access to services for safe childbirth.
