Adolescent mental stresses in boys

Male adolescents experience the pressure of several social concerns, including continuing education, military service, career prospects, and financial status. All these concerns increase in the last years of adolescence, making him helpless in answering questions about identity.

A teenager seeking independence from adolescence and moving into adulthood, finds his independence to be threatened by certain social factors. The obligation for unconditional obedience to orders of superior officers in the military, the likelihood of failing university entrance exams and its possible social consequences, facing an ambiguous career future, etc. all contribute to increased teenage confusion.

The adolescent should prevent the adverse psychological consequences of social stress by relying on self-esteem and the use of peer support and consultation with empowered individuals.
