With the onset of puberty and adolescence, changes in the appearance of the body begin. Your childhood body changes into the shape of a woman's body. That is, the size of your hips and thighs grow, your breasts grow, your height increases and you gain a little weight. Acne may appear on your face. These pimples are due to increased activity of the fat glands caused by the hormones. However, these pimples, also known as teenage acne, can be controlled with health tips.
See your doctor:
- if there is no sign of genital hair or breast growth by the age of 14 years;
- if menstrual bleeding does not occur until the age of 16;
- if the acne is inflamed or purulent.
Remember not to pick or scratch pimples, because they are more likely to become infected and remain in place after recovery. You should see a doctor if you have severe or purulent inflammation. Regular washing and reducing fat and sugar intake are effective in preventing them from escalating. The internal glands of the body evolve during this period, resulting in physical changes and appearance of your body as well as in your emotional dispositions.
You may need more time to get used to these changes. Knowing the reason for these changes can help you accept it sooner.
