It is an unpleasant feeling that is often vague and combined with anxiety. You think something bad is going to happen. Severe anxiety can be accompanied by one or more other symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, restlessness, irritation and frustration, concentration difficulty, forgetfulness of simple things, excessive body and hand washing, and doubting and checking if something has been done correctly like shutting the doors, picking up school supplies and books, irrational fears of objects or animals, and so on . The best way to deal with anxiety is to manage and control it. To do this you can:
- Strengthen your connection with God by reading the Qur'an and offering prayer
- Talk to experienced people.
- Increase your physical and mental strength through regular exercise.
- Avoid excessive stimulants such as chocolates, coffee, and spices
- Talk to a counsellor for professional advice.
You should remember that anxiety should disappear gradually and you will soon return to normal. If repeated and continued, it is advisable to consult a mental health worker.
