Premenstrual Disorders
Some women usually notice some physical and mental changes a few days before menstruation begins. Some may feel no change and some may experience a few of these changes.
Physical changes may include:
- decreased or increased appetite,
- fatigue, enlargement and tenderness of the breasts,
- constipation,
- swelling,
- headaches,
- dizziness.
Mental changes may include:
- irritability and mood swings,
- depression,
- drowsiness,
- fatigue.
The severity of these symptoms varies from person to person and usually disappears spontaneously. If these symptoms are severe or interfere with your daily activities, it is best to consult a health care worker.
